| Kay
McCracken operates an instrument which gives a
computerized estimate of the shape and possible focus of a
person's eye. This information is given to Dr. McCracken
and aids him with diagnosing and treating a patients potential
vision or eye condition. |
If the eye
examination reveals the need for eyeglasses to clear vision or
aid in visual comfort; our full service optical dispensary can
provide a fashionable and functional pair of spectacles.
Today's technology allows many options to be added to basic
eyewear, such as lenses that automatically darken when you go
outside and lighten when you return inside or bifocals without
any visible lines or special coatings to reduce glare and
reflections. We also have thin lenses to reduce weight
and provide a more pleasing appearance to your eyeglasses.

One on of
the components of an eye examination should include an
examination with a biomicroscope. Very small details are
important to the proper functioning and health of the
eyes. This specialty-made microscope allows Dr.
McCracken to examine these small details. It is also
important to aid in assessing contact lens fittings;
especially for those who have astigmatism.
